This part of the country is a hidden gem, which is often overlooked as most are unaware of its beauty.
This trip meanders through the Great Dividing Ranges, with open valleys, cascading rivers, and so many lookouts to enjoy. Some of the awesome spots we visit are Guy Fawkes Lookout, Misty Creek Lookout, Ebor Falls, Gunyah Lookout, Mount Mackenzie Lookout, Tenterfield, travelling Rocky River Rd, Drake Village and the mysterious WW2 Tank traps.

Driving time is provided as a basic guide however road conditions and the duration of breaks each day, will determine the actual time on the road between camps.
After making your own way to Jubilee Park Car Parking area in Beaudesert, we will hold a briefing to meet your guide and fellow adventurers and answer all those last-minute questions, and it’s not long and we are on our way. Leaving Beaudesert and heading south towards NSW, we cross the border and meander towards the Border Ranges National Park, after stopping at the lookouts we keep moving along and arrive in Kyogle for a quick lunch, then we head west and follow some awesome tracks through the Great Dividing Range to our overnight stop at Mallanganee. We will be camping in a park behind the Mallanganee Hotel and with food & drinks available at the Hotel, we will have the opportunity get to know our convoy members.
Leaving Mallanganee, we drive west and then south following the Clarence Way, keeping the Clarence River on our right for a while this morning. We cross the Clarence River and follow the Old Glen Innes Rd to our overnight campsite at Dalmorton Campground and our first chance to light a campfire.
We leave camp and we drive south visiting Guy Fawkes Lookout, Misty Creek Lookout, stopping at Chaelundi Campground, Vista Point Lookout and passing through Ebor and visiting the Ebor Water Falls. We arrive at our overnight campsite Native Dog Campground.
After breaking camp we drive over the Great Dividing Range and take some back roads to Glen Innes, where we top up our supplies & fuel. After leaving Glen Innes we are now heading in a northwest direction towards Emmaville and then on to our overnight stop at Blatherarm Campground, with the opportunity of stopping at Thunderbolts Lookout and time permitting Mystery Face.
Today we start heading towards our bush camp on the Timbarra River via the following awesome spots like the beautiful Ecuador Homestead, Gunyah Lookout, Mount Mackenzie Lookout, Tenterfield, travelling Rocky River Rd, and stopping at our bush camp for the night.
Today we start heading towards Clarence River Wilderness Lodge via Drake Village and the mysterious WW2 Tank traps. We then finally arrive at our campsite for the next 2 nights at Clarence River Wilderness Lodge.

Lots to see & do today, you can try a bit of canoeing, travel some of the 4WD tracks or just relax around the camp and enjoy nature for a while.
We leave camp and start heading to Boonah via Tooloom Falls and we cross the border again and meander through to Boonah, stopping at the Dugandan Hotel for a farewell drink.
